Zealous or Vamp?
So hey all, I've been playing a WE axe build for a while now, loving it, dishing out 100+'s easily, and wondering what mod should I use on axe. Atm I'm using zealous, but yesterday I started thinking, would vamp be better if I had a spear and shield set while not fighting? And also for sword and hammer mods cause I'm planning on using those aswell soon. Thanks all!

Vamp is better for axe defo, especially with an IAS which you most probably have. The -1 degen doesn't hit hard at all. As a warrior you don't really need the energy 'management' from a zealous mod. The same applies for sword too, also note that for sword a vamp is generally better than 20/20 because you don't dish out as much damage with a sword thus the AP isn't as useful as on the axe.
For hammer it's best to just use a 20/20,but with the supposed buffs for it in PvE next update that could change.

Heheh, kay thanks, yeah I'm waiting for hammer buffs before I'll get skills and stuff for it. I hope the update is soon tho So I guess I'll buy vamp later.

The correct answer is both. You probably won't need the zealous axe much, unless you die, though. You should also have an elemental set for hitting warriors.
For sword, you want vamp, zealous, and ele sets. And for hammer, Sundering, Vamp, and elemental.

I don't see the need for zealous. Yh when ur low on energy XD
I prefer to use 2 wep sets, coz I got a easy keybind for switching
So vamp axe + shield set = my prefered method.
You can use this for pve and pvp. but for pvp alot of people prefer a bow, and an ebon axe. and an zealous axe for when low on energy + all the other things. so yh for pvp u need everything (if u play high). In ra I just use the vamp axe + shield.

Vamp does the most damage on most targets, but you should always have an elemental set as well. Warriors have +20 armor vs. physical damage, and usually use a superior absoprtion rune (received physical damage -3), therefore an elemental weapon will do alot more damage on a warrior than a vampiric weapon. Most people use ebon, because typically it is the least protted against.

Well PvE doesn't really matter tbh. WE builds won't need the extra +1 energy from zealous so take a vamp. Ideally you'll have vamp, zealous, and elemental of all 3 weapons (possibly some others, and a spear), but it makes no significant difference in PvE.

The extra damage from a vamp counters the extra armor from a sup absorption rune. My theory of right now is (because I'm a bit tired) is that most of your damage will be coming from skills anyways in PvE so most of the time is doesn't really matter.
I go with zealous myself because I don't feel like getting involved in the vamp vs sundering debate.

Why on earth would you ever use a zealous weapon on a WE build?

I know they do, but that's not the topic at hand atm, I also use scythe when not using axe or anything else. So yeah I got myself vamp, it aint bad if I can be arsed to change weapons from spear to axe and so on, and well it aint too bad when equipped all the time either so yeah, thanks all.

This is PvE, monsters don't weapon-swap. If this were PvP, I'd agree with you since other players know enough to swap to an Elemental weapon to bypass the inherent +20AL vs. Physical bonus that Warrior armor has.

What monsters in PvE use Sentinel's Insignias? Not that it matters much, since armor-dependent damage is far outclassed by armor-ignoring damage.
Go with Vampiric; +3 armor-ignoring damage per hit is never a bad thing. Keep a Zealous handy to swap to in case your energy gets low, but since you're running Warrior's Endurance you shouldn't have that problem unless you are constantly Blinded or your targets use blocking Stances/Enchantments, at which point you're not going to be getting much use out of anything.

I would pick a "Conjure XXXX"
P.S: Ignoring the fact that WE (Warrior's Endurance) =/= W/E (Warrior/Elementalist)
